GRAND RAPIDS, Wis. (WSAU) - It’s the first day of retirement for the Grand Rapids Police Department’s former chief. Dave Lewandowski’s last day in the force was Wednesday.
Several friends, coworkers, and municipal leaders gathered to wish him luck in his retirement a the Town’s Municipal Building Wednesday.
Lewandowski has been the police chief for the past five years, and an officer in the Town of Rome before that. He plans to move to Colorado in about a month.
