TOWN OF HULL, Wis (WSAU) There was a minor fire last night at the Stevens Point Country Club. It was first reported around 7pm. People at the country club were able to put out most of the fire before emergency responders arrived. Firefighters were on the scene for about an hour.
The fire started on an outdoor deck while the club was hosting a private party. A small section of shingles on the side of the building were burned. There was no structural damage.
People at the country club were briefly evacuated. There were no injuries.
The cause of the fire hasn't been determined. It's not considered suspicious.
