UNDATED (WSAU) A Marshfield woman was sentenced to probation for attacking her cheating boyfriend. 19-year-old Melinda Brueggen will have the charges dropped from her record if she stays out of trouble for a year and completes court-ordered counseling.
Police reports say Brueggen confronted another woman at the Marshfield Mall, and demanded to know if she'd been seeing her boyfriend. She then went to the boyfriend’s house, cut him with a knife, and threatened him with his 22-gague shotgun.
Brueggen was sentenced on a disorderly conduct charge. Domestic abuse and a weapons charge were read into the record but were not factored into her sentence. She was also ordered to pay a fine of $479.
