WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) -- A Wausau woman who is serving jail time, but had work release privileges will likely lose those privileges. That’s because she failed to return to the jail after work.

44-year-old Tracy Taylor hasn’t been seen by corrections officers since January 3rd, and a warrant has been issued for her arrest. Taylor was sentenced in November to seven months in jail with the ability to go to work and undergo treatment. She is the second Huber law prisoner to leave the jail and not come back in the past six months.

Marathon County will soon be able to improve tracking of their 60-plus Huber work release prisoners. They will soon be required to wear a GPS tracking device, to allow officers to better manage their activities away from the jail.

Anyone with information about Tracy Taylor’s location is encouraged to contact your nearest law enforcement agency.
