MEDFORD, Wis. (WSAU) -- The man arrested near Medford Tuesday after an armed standoff with police had his initial court appearance Friday.

42-year-old Timothy R. Phillips fired a long rifle through a home window as a woman was inside the home. It took police negotiators over an hour to get Phillips to exit the home, and when he did, he still had his gun and gave resistance when arrested. He was charged with intoxicated use of a weapon, recklessly endangering safety, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct.

Phillips is now held on a $10,000 cash bond. If he makes bond, he is ordered not to possess alcohol or firearms.
