MERRILL, WI (WSAU) - A Merrill man is in custody, charged with repeated sexual assault of a child, child enticement, exposing himself to children, giving drugs to children and more. Lincoln County investigators took 35-year-old Corey C. Adams into custody March 5th on these charges, and for violating his probation.
Investigator Tom Barker says they are inviting people to share what they know about Adams and his activities. “Anybody that knows Mr. Adams and has any sort of relationship with Mr. Adams, wanted or not wanted, particularly since some of these cases are from a few years ago, even though they may be older, we would still like to talk with (those) people if that’s the case.”
Barker says they know about four victims between 10 and 16-years-old, but fear there may be more victims. “If the victims may have been younger, we don’t have any information at this time but there’s a possibility that that could be, so mostly for people that were under the age of 18.”
Adams appeared in court Thursday. Judge John Yackel set a combined $35,000 cash bond. Adams remains in the Lincoln County Jail, unable to post bond.
