NEILLSVILLE, Wis. (WSAU) -- The Neillsville community is dealing with a serious water problem. City officials call it a major water line break, and it’s been difficult to locate.
Neillsville has a water tower close to the Neillsville High School, and it was empty late Thursday afternoon, and pumps could not keep up with the demand. The Neillsville schools have called off classes for Friday because they don’t have water.
Outside assistance has been brought in to help city engineers locate and evaluate the mystery break that’s taking most of their water. Residents were asked to fill sinks and jugs to store emergency water if they could.
