RHINELANDER, WI (WSAU) - An Oneida County jailer has been awarded Wisconsin’s Jail Officer of the Year. Kieth Fabianski recently received that award from the Wisconsin Jail Association.
Sheriff Grady Hartman says Fabianski was nominated for showing outstanding leadership on 3 separate occasions, in a 3 month time period, where staff had to respond quickly to prevent suicidal inmates from causing themselves great harm or death.
Fabianski has been a Lead Corrections Officer for Oneida County since August 1999 and has previous experience in the Federal Bureau of Prison’s. He’s also an instructor for Nicolet Area Technical College in the Criminal Justice Program.
