MADISON, Wis. (WSAU) -- You can take part in a live online chat with DNR officials on Thursday as they discuss the upcoming changes to the 2014 deer hunt.

The web conference is part of the DNR's continuing efforts to get the word out to hunters across the state on the impact of the Deer Trustee Report. Big game ecologist Kevin Wallenfang says this is part of the DNR's effort to get information out about the changes to the deer hunt this year. "The chat's a chance for them to call in, ask question and we'll provide them the best answers we can because our goal here is to have people as informed as possible before the season starts."

Wallenfang says this is a chance for you to get information straight from experts. "It's really driven by their questions, so we don't throw a lot of information out there, we let it ride on the questions they're asking us. They can simply get on the internet site where this is available and start typing in their questions."

The chat starts Thursday morning at 11:00 am. You can join the chat from a link at http://dnr.wi.gov.
