
MADISON, Wis. (WSAU) -- A Stevens Point man was sent to federal prison Tuesday for possessing child pornography.
35-year-old Denis Gack pleaded guilty to charges of receiving child pornography back in October. Yesterday, Judge Lynn Adelman sentenced Gack to 6 and one-half years in federal prison followed by 10 years of supervised release. Gack was convicted of several charges including battery, exposing his genitals to a child, and having sex with a child over age 16 in Wood County during 2004. He was also convicted of charges including mentally harming a child in Portage County in 2009. Gack was was given a polygraph examination as a condition of probation in 2009, where he tried to manipulate the results. His home and cell phone were searched, and investigators found Gack had threatened the minor and coerced her to send him pornographic images of herself.
