DANCY, Wis. (WSAU) -- A barn was destroyed by fire early Friday in Marathon County. The fire was reported shortly before 8:00 a.m. just off County Highway C near the intersection of Highway O in the Town of Bergen.
Several fire departments battled the blaze, which spread to nearby grass and another building.
The owners raised chickens in the barn. Fire investigators believe the blaze may have been ignited by a heat lamp used to keep the chickens warm. There were no other livestock in the structure.
