STEVENS POINT, Wis. (WSAU) -- Police have arrested some of the suspects from Monday afternoon’s assault incident that took place in Iverson Park at Stevens Point.
Sergeant Tony Babl says a pair of the suspects are in custody. “This morning, our detectives did make two arrests on our substantial battery case from Monday at Iverson Park. We have two people in custody, one 18-year-old and another 26-year-old male.”
Babl says the investigation is far from over, and they are making more progress with the investigation. “Detectives are still interviewing witnesses and processing the evidence that was collected, and they told me that other arrests are probable.”
The names have not been released, but Babl says the two in custody may see the judge for a bond hearing yet today.
