WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) -- The fun is back this summer with the Wausau Events Summer Kickoff.

The event has expanded this year to include a full weekend of fun across Wausau. Wausau Events marketing coordinator Kasey Taube says the show starts tonight at Oak Island. "Food vendors, face paintings, a bounce house, a shoot and shower, a train, there's a DJ. We also have a movie that will be about dusk. So there's just a lot of funs a lot of games, just the perfect way to start off the summer."

The kickoff continues on Saturday back on the 400 block with the Good News Project. "Good News is putting on a Caribbean market on the 400 Block, so people can come down for that. That will also have live music and they are going to have Cuban food and drink." Taube says that runs from 11 to 3.

On Sunday for Father's Day, Taube says they'll be turning the 400 Block into a classic car showcase. "From 9 to 11 on Sunday is a classic car show which is put on by the Road Knights. We have food vendors for that as well, and we're just gonna shut down the square and have classic cars all around it."

All of the events are free to attend. You can get more info online at www.WausauEvents.org.
