MADISON, Wis. (WSAU) -- A husband and wife pleaded guilty to drug charges in U.S. District Court Wednesday. 25-year-old Charlie Sunn Meshigaud and 27-year-old Andrew Meshigaud of Lac du Flambeau admitted possessing Oxycodone with intent to distribute the drug.
Prosecutors say the couple made several trips to Milwaukee after wiring over $50,000 to their source of the 30 milligram pills.
U.S. District Judge Barbara B. Crabb has scheduled a sentencing hearing for both of them on August 22nd. They both face up to 20 years in federal prison.
The charges against the Meshigauds resulted from an investigation conducted by the Wisconsin Department of Justice, the Lac du Flambeau Police Department; and the Vilas and Oneida County Sheriffs’ Departments.
