RIB MOUNTAIN, Wis. (WSAU) -- A Stevens Point man has died from an apparent drowning in a private pond.
Marathon County police responded to a 9-1-1 call around 3:30 p.m. yesterday about a man going underwater on property on Goldenrod Road in Rib Mountain. Divers recovered the body of a 49-year-old man before 6 p.m.
An autopsy has been scheduled to determine a cause of death. The incident is under investigation.
