WAUSAU, Wis (WSAU) Sunday was a day of mourning and remembrance at First Presbyterian Church in Wausau. Their former pastor, Stephen Wright was killed in a car crash Thursday on Highway 34 in Dancy.
Wright's vehicle overturned after hitting a tree stump on the side of the road. He died massive head injuries. He was 56.
Wright was pastor at First Presbyterian from 2002 to 2013. He left the church to become president of PeopleFirst HR Solutions of LaCrosse. Several years ago his sermons were heard on Sunday mornings on WSAU.
Wright is survived by his wife and three children. Funeral arrangements are pending.
