RHINELANDER, Wis. (WSAU) -- Investigators have identified the skeletal remains found near Rhinelander Monday. He was 54-year-old Steven J. Boron. The Oneida County resident was reported as an absconder from Probation & Parole back in May of 2013.
Oneida County Chief Deputy Daniel Hess says no foul play is suspected in Boron’s death.
Boron’s body was found in the Town of Pelican in a wooded area near Lake Julia. The medical examiner has not indicated how long Boron was dead. Dental records were used to make a positive identification of the body.
