WAUSAU, Wis (WSAU) -- Northcentral Technical College is offering a revamped course aimed at business professionals looking to move up in their careers.

It's the supervisory management program, and it's aiming to improve the training of workers in order to help them get promotions. Business education associate dean Brooke Schindler says the program is running on some extremely flexible hours. "You come one night every other week for 8 weeks and you'll be able to earn 9 credits that are going to bundled in different areas in the business world." Schindler says they're focusing on being able to reach working adults who would like to get more education on the side while still keeping their current positions.

The classes will be running along the school's current programs in business education. "Our first offering will be in lean organizations. We'll be covering competencies in lean organizations, managing for quality, project management, and then our second option will be a technical degree in leadership." Schindler says students will be able to earn a full degree through the whole course. "Each technical degree bundles three courses for a total of nine credits, and if you follow the plan we lay out, you can earn that supervisory management associates degree in just 16 months."
