WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) -- The man accused in the hit and run of his girlfriend made an initial appearance in Marathon County court on Thursday.
27 year old Jeremy Cheyka faces one count of hit and run causing injury. Police say Cheyka stuck his girlfriend with his car after an argument on Monday
Wausau police say Cheyka was picked up without incident after a witness called in a tip about his whereabouts. Officers performed a traffic stop near his residence and brought him into custody. He's now being held on a probation hold.
Police say Cheyka was also involved in an incident last month where police were called about gunshots in the area during a fight. No guns were located in that incident.
