STEVENS POINT, Wis. (WSAU) -- Stevens Point police are looking for the public’s help to solve a Monday night convenience store robbery. The BP station at 3209 Church Street, at the corner of Heffron Street was robbed.

Sergeant Tony Babl says there was a lone suspect and one store employee at the time of the robbery.  “The suspect is described as a white male, about six feet tall, wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt pulled up over his face, and dark sunglasses. He didn’t appear to have a weapon on him, but maybe indicated some type of threat. The clerk did the right thing and handed over the money, no one got hurt, and the suspect left on foot.”

The public is encouraged to call in any information they may have about suspect, or any observations they made around the Southside BP at around 9:30 p.m. Monday.  “We don’t have any leads on it at this point. Hopefully, someone in the public can know something and can give us a call, or give Portage County Crimestoppers a call, but right now, we have no leads on it.”

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Stevens Point Police detectives at 715-346-1518, or you can remain anonymous contacting Portage County Crime Stoppers at 1-888-346-6600.
