WAUSAU, Wis (WSAU) We now know the name of the Wausau School District teacher who was nabbed in an undercover prostitution case. 36-year-old Aaron Kottke was one of eight people who were fined $2,000 for offering to pay for sex. He was a fifth grade teacher at Franklin Elementary School.
Kottke submitted his resignation earlier this week. It was be considered at next Monday's school board meeting.
Undercover officers posted a fake on-line ad in late July. More than 30 people responded. Eight were fined for arranging to meet with a prostitute who turned out to be a police officer. These are the first cases where would-be Johns were fined instead of facing criminal charges under a new city ordinance.
