WESTON, Wis. (WSAU) -- A bank was robbed this morning in Weston.

Officers got a report of a holdup alarm at Intercity State Bank on Schofield Avenue near Pick N Save at 9:44 a.m. When police arrived, bank staff told them the man demanded money and left the scene. The suspect got away with an undetermined amount of cash.

Nobody was hurt in the robbery.

Surveillance cameras caught a photo of the suspect, and we have it posted for you on our website. Anyone who can identify the man is encouraged to immediately contact police. Everest Metro Police Chief Wally Sparks says it is OK to call 911 if you have the identity of the man.

Sparks says they are looking for one suspect at this point, and they don't know if this bank robbery and last week's bank robbery in Hatley are related.

Investigators are still at the scene and are canvassing the surrounding neighborhoods. Sparks is advising people to be alert, report suspicious activity, and if you see anyone or anything out of the ordinary to report it to police.

Intercity State Bank’s Weston branch is closed today to allow investigators to process the crime scene. Other branches remain open.

It is unknown if the suspect fled on foot or in a vehicle, but Chief Sparks says area residents should be on the lookout for the suspect and if they observe anyone matching this description, they should stay indoors and call 911 immediately.
