STEVENS POINT, Wis. (WSAU) -- The newest Stevens Point Fire Chief was officially sworn into office. Robert Finn was the interim chief who took over the department when Tracey Kujawa left to become Wausau’s chief. Finn was selected as the permanent chief last week. He joined new firefighter and paramedic Michael Kasper in taking their oaths of office at 3:00 p.m. Monday.
Finn was humbled by the selection, as becoming a fire chief has been a dream of his since he was very young.
Finn served as Assistant Chief for seven years, and was a firefighter for more than 28 years in Illinois before moving to Wisconsin.
