RHINELANDER, Wis. (WSAU) -- A registered sex offender is facing new charges, just a month and a half after getting out of prison.  26-year-old Jason Mullen was sentenced in November of 2011 to two years of initial confinement, followed by four years of extended supervision for 3rd degree sexual assault of a child in 2010.

Mullen was in Oneida County court Wednesday, accused of having sex with a 15-year-old girl three times last month. He spent time in prison for breaking into a different 15-year-old’s basement and sexually assaulting her. His attorney has asked the court for a mental competency evaluation to see if his client is fit to stand trial. Not guilty pleas were entered on his behalf, and Judge Patrick O’Melia ordered the case files sealed.

Mullen has several past convictions. Along with the sexual assault of a child conviction, he has also been found guilty in the last seven years of exposing his genitals, using a computer to threaten people, burglary, theft, shoplifting, felony disorderly conduct, and resisting an officer.

His next court date has not been released publicly, due to the sealed case files.
