UNDATED (WSAU) -- Car and deer crashes are still pretty common, as the rut is still underway.
In Lincoln County last week, they reported 18 car versus deer crashes, including one with a squad car. That happened when a deputy was on patrol in the Town of Corning on Cranberry Road when the deer ran into the road and into the side of the patrol car.
Lincoln County also had two car versus bear crashes Friday night. Both of them were on Highway 51 near Tomahawk and Irma.
