ANTIGO, Wis. (WSAU) -- A Grand Chute man has reached a plea deal with prosecutors in connection with a Langlade County burglary case.
22-year-old Nathanial McKee entered a no contest plea on Tuesday to one count of felony theft. Prosecutors dropped another theft charge and one charge of armed burglary in exchange.
Police say McKee broke into a cottage in the Town of Elcho back in 2010 and stole several bottles of liquor and a rifle. At the time police recovered a cigarette butt at the scene which was later DNA tested as a match with McKee.
McKee will spend 3 years on probation in this case and have to pay restitution. He's already serving an 18 month jail sentence in St. Croix County in an unrelated auto theft case.
