MARSHFIELD, Wis. (WSAU) -- Naming rights for the popular “Commons Area” at Marshfield Senior High School go to Marshfield Clinic. That’s according to principal Steve Sukawaty who says the clinic will make around $60,000 of improvements including new lunch tables.
According to Sukawaty, “We had some conversations with the Marshfield Clinic who have graciously offered to give us 33 new cafeteria tables, some with the Marshfield High School logo and Tiger on them, for naming rights to the commons.”
There’ll also be some other amenities according to Sukawaty who added, “There’s some additional things that may be needed to make the commons a little nicer, a sound system, some different gating for when we have crowds, and (the clinic) said $60,000 would be the total amount.”
Pete Mancl sits on the district school board and says the clinic will pay for the equipment over a 4-year period for naming rights lasting up to 15 years. Earlier this year, the Boson Construction Company of Marshfield was awarded naming rights for the high school’s field house.
