WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. (WSAU) -- There’s help for the technologically challenged in Wisconsin Rapids today. Mid-State Technical College is hosting a free Tech Expo at the Wisconsin Rapids campus from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
The expo is aimed at helping people with some of the most basic things many beginners have, as well as some of the advanced applications. MSTC’s Karl Easttorp says the Tech Expo is perfect for the person who needs help understanding what the “cloud” is, or needs an explanation of Windows 8, Skype, Microsoft Office features, and other things that many technology users take for granted.
There will be several stations set up at the Lowell Center, explaining and showing those things, as well as how to use Facebook, different Internet browsers, how to manage your email files, and understanding GPS and online gaming.
The Tech Expo is free and open to the public.
