MADISON, Wis. (WSAU) -- The 100-million dollar donation announced at Camp Randall yesterday is the biggest from individual donors in the history of the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
John and Tashia Morgridge are graduates of the university. John graduated from Madison’s business school in 1995 and has served as C-E-O and chairman of the board for Cisco Systems. Tashia graduated from the School of Education in the same year and has worked as a special education teacher.
The money will go to match donations for a new fundraising drive aimed at recruiting premiere faculty members, including endowing professorships, chairs and distinguished chairs. The Morgridges will be serving as co-chairs of the drive.
