MEDFORD, Wis. (WSAU) -- Authorities have released the name of the man they believed died in a hunting stand fire over the weekend. Taylor County Sheriff’s Department investigators are certain the charred remains found inside the burned box-style hunting stand are 52-year-old Todd R. Sikora of Medford. Sikora’s all terrain vehicle was parked nearby the structure he had built, and apparently died in.
The remains have been sent to Madison to establish a positive identification. Sikora was reported missing very early Saturday morning when he failed to meet with a man and his son.
