WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) - Road construction and travel delays go together. Just like Monday, drivers will experience a short delay on Highway 51 on the north side of Wausau Tuesday. Department of Transportation officials will be blasting rock to clear the path for the new highway U-K-51 interchange.
Traffic will be stopped for up to 20 minutes on Highway 51 at 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. for both the north and southbound lanes between Bridge Street and Decatur Drive.
Motorists should drive with caution approaching the work zone and be prepared to stop.
