WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. (WSAU) - There was a brief chemical leak at the NewPage plant in Wisconsin Rapids on Thursday.
The fire department got a call about a "very small" chlorine gas leak in a room inside the plant near the mill's water filtration area. Off duty firefighters and hazmat teams were on the scene Thursday putting a cap on the leaking cylinder.
No worker was exposed in the leak and no one was hurt.
