LINCOLN COUNTY, Wis (WSAU) - One person is in critical condition following a motorcycle crash on Highway 51 in Lincoln County.
86-year-old Leonard Benson of Merrill was taken to Aspirus Wausau Hospital Sunday afternoon following that crash. Sheriff's officials say Benson lost control of his cycle and crashed into the median. Highway 51 Northbound was closed for an hour while crews took care of the crash and Benson.
Sheriff's deputies say Benson was wearing his helmet at the time of the crash, but they don't know what made him lose control. An investigation is ongoing.
