WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) -- More drugs, and five more arrests in Marathon County.
The county’s Special Investigations Unit and Wausau Police arrested four more people at two Wausau locations Friday and confiscated more drugs and evidence.
A 42-year-old male was arrested at 309 East Wausau Avenue for delivering crack cocaine, maintaining a drug trafficking place, and possessing marijuana. He was also in violation of his probation. A 41-year-old female from that same residence will be charged with being party to the same crimes.
A 29-year-old male was arrested at an apartment on Genrich Street in Wausau. He faces three counts of delivering heroin, maintaining a drug trafficking place, felony identity theft, possessing paraphernalia, and obstructing an officer. He was also wanted on a warrant for a domestic incident. A 26-year-old male and a 23-year-old female were also arrested there on similar charges.
Sheriff Scott Parks says Friday’s arrests were the result of three months of investigating these individuals.
All five suspects are at the Marathon County Jail. Names will be released after they have been formally charged.
