STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) -  School district superintendents have an opportunity to discuss the state’s recent decision to choose Infinite Campus as the sole provider for student information school software in the state.

Stevens Point Superintendent Attila Weninger invited other administrators to discuss the process used by the state and the merits of a single- vendor system.  Weninger says the group can participate in a Q&A, and to determine what steps, if any, the group may consider if the state’s current decision stands.

Weninger is a strong supporter of Stevens Point based Skyward, which lost the bid a month ago. He says the Stevens Point Board of Education has concerns over the process, and why a single vendor system is necessary. Weninger adds the state’s estimated conversion costs are very far off and would severely impact local districts.

The meeting starts at 1:00 p.m. Friday at Sentry World in Stevens Point.
