ROTHSCHILD, Wis. (WSAU) -- The Village of Rothschild is getting some grant money to prepare an old business site for redevelopment. Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) is providing $32,500 to Rothschild as a Site Assessment Grant.
The money will reimburse the Village of Rothschild for demolition and storage tank removal at the former Amoco station location on South Grand Avenue.
The Brownfield Site Assessment Grant (SAG) Program is a state program for WEDC to grant funds to local governments for environmental investigations, structure demolition, removal of abandoned containers and underground tank systems.
