WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) - There’s an unusual sexual assault case moving through Marathon County court. A 19-year-old Weston woman has been charged as an adult for a crime she allegedly committed when she was 10-years-old.
The woman is charged with two counts of first-degree sexual assault of a child. The criminal complaint claims the suspect at age 10 ordered her approximately 7-year-old sister to perform sex acts with a 5-year-old boy.
Assistant District Attorney Theresa Wetzsteon says the alleged crime was reported in 2011, after the suspect was 17-years-old, meaning she couldn’t be charged in juvenile court any longer.
Since one of the victims is a juvenile related to the suspect, we are not reporting the names at this time.
