WAUSAU, Wis (WSAU) Hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of items have been seized from three former executives of Manson Insurance. They've already been convicted of defrauding River Valley Bank and their customers of $6-million in an elaborate fraud scheme. The U.S. Marshals Office has auctioned off some of the ill-gotten gains.
Some items were seized from storage units that were raided over the past two years.
The top-selling auction item was a 2.2-carot ring that netted $40,000. Other items that were sold off included Rolex watches and fur coats.
More than 800 Manson clients had lines of credit taken out against their insurance policies.
Timothy Mathwich, David Scholfield, and Susan Brockman have all been convicted, and are under court order to pay $6.2-million in restitution.
