WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) -- A Stratford man didn’t stay out of legal problems for very long. 25-year-old Tyler Perkins finished probation less than a month ago, but now faces new charges for having weapons and drugs in his home.

Police found six loaded guns, more ammunition, marijuana and methamphetamines when they searched his residence. He’s now being held on a $10,000 cash bond. His preliminary hearing will be February 5th.

Perkins is not supposed to have guns, since he was convicted of past felonies. His new charges include six counts of possessing a firearm as a felon, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and two counts of possessing drug paraphernalia. One of those includes paraphernalia to manufacture, produce, or otherwise handle meth.

20-year-old Jasmine Henry lives with Perkins, and has also been charged in relation to the drugs found at the Stratford apartment.

Police believe Perkins was selling guns and drugs from his Stratford apartment. Some of the weapons sold are believed to be involved in area crimes, including the Schofield Little Caesar’s armed robbery last May.

Perkins could have asked the court to expunge his past marijuana conviction in 2015 if no new charges were filed against him.
