RUDOLPH, Wis (WSAU) Friends of the stock-car racing legend late Dick Trickle want to build a memorial in his honor in Central Wisconsin. It would be located in Rudolph.
The Rudolph Parks Commission has already approved the proposal to be built in Rudolph Community Park near Highway 13. A formal fundraising drive would kick off in the spring. The Central Wisconsin Racing Association would take up collections.
It's not clear exactly what the memorial would look like, or how much it would cost. Organizers say they might sell commemorative paving stones around the memorial to raise more money.
Trickle died last May in North Carolina. He was 71.
