MARSHFIELD, Wis. (WSAU) The Wood County facility space needs assessment process continues on Monday with a public information meeting at the Wood County Courthouse in Wisconsin Rapids. County Supervisor Donna Rozar chairs the “Space Needs Implementation Committee”, and she says the main purpose of tonight’s meeting is to hear ideas from the public. According to Rozar, “We’re hoping that people will give us input, maybe about things we haven’t thought about!”Discussion will include how to accommodate two major population centers on opposite ends of the county; and whether Wisconsin Rapids facilities remain in a renovated “downtown campus”, or be supplemented with new buildings on 17th Street. Recommendations from the Space Needs Implementation Needs Committee could go to the Wood County Board for a possible vote sometime this summer. That public information meeting runs from 5:00 until 6:30 on Monday night, at the Wood County Courthouse in Wisconsin Rapids
