
MADISON, Wis. (WSAU) -- A man caught selling illegal prescription drugs on the Lac du Flambeau reservation is going to prison.
U.S District Judge Barbara Crabb sentenced 27-year-old Brandon Vetterneck of Lac du Flambeau to 40 months for distributing Oxycodone pills from his mothern Lois Vetterneck’s house.
Lois Vetterneck was also involved in the sale of the drugs, and has pled guilty to charges. Her sentencing is scheduled for June 10th.
In denying Vetterneck’s request for a two-year sentence, Judge Crabb noted that Vetterneck had been distributing Oxycodone on the Lac du Flambeau reservation since 2009 and that he has a criminal history that spans 19 years.
Brandon Vetterneck was charged just over a year ago after selling Oxycodone to undercover officers on two separate occasions.
