WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. (WSAU) -- One person is in custody after an apparent homicide in Wisconsin Rapids. Police Lieutenant Casey LaBarre says the incident happened at about 11:00 p.m. Thursday in the 1100 block of Baker Street.

An autopsy was planned for Friday afternoon on a 52-year-old man. The victim's 55-year-old brother is being held for violating a previous probation.

LaBarre says the family is still being contacted, so the victim’s name has not been released. He did say the public is not in danger, and the incident involves two people that know each other.

The Wisconsin Crime Lab and the Wisconsin State Patrol are assisting Wisconsin Rapids Police with the investigation.
