
UPDATE: As of 3:45 p.m., four of the five teens that were taken to Aspirus Wausau Hospital have been treated and released. They still have one teen boy hospitalized. The two girls that were taken to St. Claire's Hospital in Weston are no longer there. A 12-year-old girl was treated and released, and a 14-year-old girl was transferred to St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield for observation. Two other teens that were critically injured remain at St. Joseph's Hospital. Names have not been released.
The group was traveling to the Eau Claire Dells park for a swimming trip when the SUV left Highway 52. The road has been re-opened.

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) -- A traffic crash east of Wausau has killed one teenager and injured nine others.
The crash of a large sport utility vehicle at Highway 52 and Mill Road in the Town of Easton happened at 9:52 a.m., and several ambulances and rescue staff were called to the scene.
One teen died at the scene. Two of the injured teenagers were taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital, two more to St. Claire’s Hospital in Weston, and the other five were taken to Aspirus Wausau Hospital. The victim’s names and the extent of their injuries has not been released.
Marathon County Sheriff’s Department and Wisconsin State Patrol investigators are still at the scene.
As of 2:00 p.m., Highway 52 traffic is still being detoured around the crash site using Highways Q, Z, and Y.
