
STEVENS POINT, Wis. (WSAU) -- Stevens Point police have released the name of the person who led them on a short high-speed chase last Friday. She is 44-year-old Pamela A. Stenerson of Neenah.
Stenerson has been charged with fleeing an officer, endangering safety by reckless driving, and her third operating while intoxicated offense.
This began as a welfare check. When officers spotted the vehicle at 1:10 p.m. Friday and tried to pull her over, Stenerson left I-39 at exit 161, which is the northside Business 51 interchange. The chase proceeded south on Business 51/Division Street to 5th Street, where officers successfully stopped her.
There were no injuries to anyone in this incident. There were also no passengers in the vehicle with Stenerson.
