MADISON, Wis. (WSAU) -- Not every government office is closed for Veterans Day. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation says their Department of Motor Vehicles service centers will be open during their usual hours Tuesday.
The Veterans Day holiday is recognized nationally, meaning banks, credit unions, and federal offices like social security offices will be closed. State office hours depend on the state you’re in.
It is a good idea to call ahead Tuesday if you plan to visit a government office to make sure they are open.
Retail businesses will be open as usual.
