MADISON, WI (WSAU) - A Stevens Point person received an honor from the Attorney General Tuesday. Jane Benzschawel is the Sexual Assault Victim Services Coordinator at CAP Services
Stevens Point.
Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen recognized Benzschawel for becoming the first community based victim’s advocate to learn the laws and go through the formal complaint process with Wisconsin’s Crime Victim’s Rights Board. She was also instrumental in helping CAP Services create the infrastructure to help victims of sexual assault crimes properly and efficiently.
Benzschawel received a Champion of Victims Rights Award in the State Capitol Rotunda Tuesday.
