State crime lab investigating body found in Taylor County

MADISON, Wis. (WSAU-Wheeler News) - The Wisconsin State Crime Lab and the Department of Criminal Investigation are working with local officials to identify human remains which were found in Taylor County.

Because nearby Lincoln County has three open missing persons cases, officials there were notified. Neither the possible age nor gender of the person has been released so far. An autopsy is being conducted. The discovery of the remains was made last Friday.

This gives new hope to the families of 48 year old Anita Bucki, 56 year old Robert Cartwright and 21 year old Ben Wilberding. They are looking for closure.
