ST PAUL, MN (LEARFIELD-WSAU) Minnesota prosecutors have filed a motion asking for more time so experts can analyze Kira Steger Trevino's body. The Wisconsin native’s body was found in the Mississippi River in downtown St. Paul last week.
Her husband is being held on one million dollars bond and is charged in her death. Unless it is delayed, Jeffery Trevino’s trial will start May 28th.
Court documents say injuries to the 30 year old victim include a head wound, a broken finger, a bruised lip and a lacerated liver. Remnants of duct tape were found in her hair.
