MOSINEE, WI (WSAU) - Monday was busy for Wausau Paper staff. Along with finalizing the agreement to sell the Mosinee and Rhinelander specialty paper mills to KPS Capital Partners’ new company Expera Specialty Solutions, they also released a new product in their tissue line.
It’s called DublNature® and is a plush, cloth-like paper towel that utilizes 100% recycled fiber. The new towel received the Green Seal certification for its recycled fiber content, making it appealing to businesses and households that prefer to make “green” purchases.
DublNature is the first of two new product lines planned for the new high-tech paper machine recently completed in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. Wausau Paper plans to launch their new premium brand Artisan™ line later this year.
Many of the Wausau Paper products are marketed to commercial users, but some are available in the consumer retail market.
